I don't know, I think Nash gave up quite a bit here. Id have Hanafin's value > Paryko + a 3 year age gap. However, Nash has been scouring the league for a solid RD and Barry was in need of solid LD so positionally this works for both.
Id also have Demko's value over Swaymans despite giving up 3 years of age. Demko is a certified starter while Swayman is a 1A option, though he'll be the #1 if Ullmark moves.
So both guys give up 3 years of age, and address positional play that they need for this year and most likely next as well.
I'd say fairly even by position, but I think Nash gave up more in talent.
I dont think I'd hoist the skull and crossbones for either GM here. just a decent hockey trade.

I agree with most of what you say Daniel. I do think Barry gets a bit of an edge here, but RD is a hard position to fill.
The other thing is that I feel that Swayman is more consistent than Demko. It may be just that Boston has a stronger D corps. As you know sometimes I look a little too far ahead and once Ullmark moves, I think Swayman will get more starts.

Both goalies are around 0.5 GSAA/60, so they are both playing quite well. Were the season to end now, Demko would have the slightly better HSV% because he has 41 starts to Swayman’s 29.* Perhaps the age difference makes up the gap in performance.
Hanifin and Parayko are also even-Stevens, so this swap again comes down to age.
Nicely balanced deal, boys.
* In this case Starts = Minutes Played / 60
