Current Rule Modified Rule Reasons for Change
- The strategy of playing a forward on the point has become quite common. This change eliminates the penalty for having one forward on the point and lessens the penalty for having two.

Can you give an example of this please? I'm rather confused by the usage of both Disadvantage and Advantage in this rule change. Is this -1 to the blue die for the advantaged teams forwards on the point, or is this somehow tied to the disadvantaged team? Apologies, I'm just really confused as to what this actually means. D When a team has disadvantage its skaters get to subtract one from the blue die if the advantaged team has two skaters rated only for forward positions playing in the LD and RD positions. In other words, it's easier to score a shorthanded goal if the two guys on the point for the other team are forwards.

Ah, ok so this is subtracting 1 from the blue dice on the disadvantaged teams short handed ranges, when the advantaged team is using 2 forwards on the point. Thanks for that I got it now. I was definitely confused, sorry.

Much as I want to punish teams for playing forwards on the PP points, just because it commonly happens doesn't mean Sniper McGoalscorer is any better taking away high danger goal scoring chances when playing the point on the PP.What are the shooting percentages SH facing 0, 1, and 2 forwards on the power play point. In composing this I lean towards letting the forwards keep their defence when playing the point but giving the SH team the -1 to the blue die when having a forward on the point. Don't think the volume of SH shots has increased significantly but when they fail, they do so spectacularly.

Dont we already have the rules in place for the disadvantaged team to be shooting? I thought the forwards playing the point retained their defense for shot numbers but not for Dn shots? Apologies if I've got that wrong.

Apologies if I've got that wrong. It's covered in 7.3.5: To calculate team defence for a team with advantage, sum the regular defense rating of the skaters in the LD and RD positions and add two.
