There are two kinds of rules in our CHL rulebook: those that govern the mechanics of play and those that govern the operations of the league. Some rules may change by edict from the Commissioner. Some may change by proclamation from me, the Card Czar. Still more rules may change through discussion and vote.
I'd like to clarify that as Card Czar it is necesary, from time-to-time, to change the mechanics of play to support changes to ratings or cards. I will post changes to the rules for 2024-25 on this board if I believe they do not require discussion. If I think they do require discussion, I'll post them on the 2023-24 (Current Season) board.
If I post a rule change for an upcoming season and you think that there's a problem or that some discussion is required, please don't hesitate to respond. It could be that I've not explained myself well. It could be I'm unaware of possible problems or unintended consequences. Either way, I'd rather hear it than not.
