The good news is that Tristan Jarry became the first Penguins goalie in history to score a goal.
The bad news is that Tristan Jarry now has more goals than Josh Anderson.

I asked AI to create a nickname for Josh Anderson how that he's being outscored by a goalie.
AI suggested "The Big Deal" because of his 7-year $38.5MM contract. It seems to be making the best of the situation by avoiding any mention of his play.

If Jarry wasn't having such a good year I'd suggest you swap their positions.

Since you are an POWERful drafter Charles, I wonder if it might not be to your advantage to trade your top guys for draft picks. I have no picks, so I'm not saying this to be self-serving.

I'm winning the lottery and getting Bedard anyways, so why overkill? And to start with, I need to be offered more than "70% of Laine + a mouldy saltine" for Laine, before I even start entertaining offers for the genius strategy of selling a 25 year old 2OA pick at a massive low. Hey, he did get a goal tonight. 12 minutes ice time, lol.

McDavid is in line for a 119 points, a 34 point drop. All of those drops in goals, 33 of them to be more precise.
Tkachuk is the new Huberdeau. He's going to smash the record for a single season points drop, and his will be on goals, which matter whereas assists do not. 64 point pace is a 45 point drop, and kept afloat ONLY from his assists, he has all of 4 goals. Yeah...4. One would assume those will dry up as well as he gets slotted lower in the roster as his play continues to be horrid.
Robertson is on about 25 point drop 13 of those in the goal department.
Scheifele is on pace for 13 less goals, but like 45 more assists...*shrug*
Tavares on pace for 10 less goals.
Id wager that no one elses top 6 have the prospectus to drop by anywhere near these margins, so Chuck, I think I'm gonna take your "Rightful Monopoly"

Many of these examples are guys who were traded for at their career height. However, I can accept that there is concern now. It feels like once you hit this point, guys who are down have a harder time to recover because teams are off their slow/fast starts and systems have settled in. I'm willing to trade for any of the guys mentioned in this thread ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I was just putting Charles bemoaning into perspective. There are no Ovechkin deals here for you Sauruman.
I didnt expect all of the mentioned to continue to have as good or better seasons either. But I did think there wouldn't be such large drops. There may be time to salvage what Id consider "average" seasons, but things don't look good when they're this far behind at the 20-22 game mark already.

It's quite the opposite. Not that a goal is equal to an assist but it sure as shit isn't 3.5x more. 40 goals to 15 goals with no change in assists, that's a drop in production.

You are both equally bad.
