Game 1: Brooks @ Cole Harbour
The home side was finally tired of James Reimer's attempt to set a record for most goals against in a season and turned to youngster Logan Thompson in search of a save. This feeling would not last long... the visiting Solar Bears went up 1-0 on a goal by Matt Duchene 3:36 into the game. Ivan Barbashev got the home side even at the 10:00 mark, but that did not last long... goals from Reinhart, Backlund and Kucherov closed out the scoring in the first. Cody Glass got the home side within 2 on the power play, but, alas it was not to be. Holl, Dunn, Kucherov (again) and DeMelo all scored unanswered goals and carried the visitors to an easy victory.
Final Score: Brooks 8 (53 shots, 9 IR) @ Cole Harbour 2 (26 shots, 4 IR)
Game 2: Cole Harbour @ Brooks
This game was ugly from the get go... goals as follows:
Solar Bears scorers were Holl, Kuzmenko, Kucherov, Tatar, Backlund (2), Hischier (2), Reinhart, Kaprizov
Butchers got goals from Thompson, Hedman (it was 2-2 at that point), Eriksson Ek (2)
Final score: Cole Harbour 4 (27 shots, 4 IR) @ Brooks 10 (55 shots, 17 IR)

At this point I think I am just hoping to end up with a better points percentage than the Sharks...

At this point I think I am just hoping to end up with a better points percentage than the Sharks... As pretty much the entire league has heard, the Sharks shitting the bed in one period cost me a $1600 sports select ticket, so even 30+ years later, every time i see them get ripped for 10+, it's a combination of PTSD and "that's what you get, fuckers!" On the bright side, if current trends continue, after another 7 losses, they may just take a game to a 10-10 tie into OT.
