Hey Steve,
Can you give us an outline on how a player gets multi-positions vs. single positions?
As you can recall I traded for Ehlers expecting him to be a LW, but see he plays RW with Winnipeg. Fortunately for me he is RW/LW this season. Does that mean he's dominant RW over LW in the data you're assessing?
I don't need anything specific, just some clues.

Clues, eh? Hmm.
The position listed first on a skater’s card is his favoured position. If he’d played only one, that would be it.
Right-handed forwards almost always carry a RW rating. Right-handed defenders almost always carry a RD rating.
Left wingers are the most likely players to carry multiple positions.
The more shifts a player has the less likely he plays multiple positions.
A skater qualifies for a second or third position based on a ratio of time played at all positions.
