I don’t know where I became mixed up but I need to clarify forechecking shots. I’m sure I’ve caused confusion.
Rule 6.7.2 should state that to determine which opposing forward takes the forechecking shot, refer to the Pfn chart found under the Pass chart on the cards of defensemen.
To be clear - forechecking shots are always taken by forwards.
Note: there’s an abuse here not covered by the rules. Forwards playing on the point with advantage should have the @s found at 4-7, 5-7 and 6-7 replaced with Pf1, Pf2 and Pf3. This is not specified in the rules as they were written when all cards had Pfn results.
What is specified is that when taking an @ shot from the point, forwards use their N ranges. So there’s a balance to be struck here by the Rules Committee, but for now the @s remain.
