Ive seen quite a few guys that I thought were pretty solid getting waived, especially today.
Anyone stand out to anyone else?
I was surprised by: Kempny, Mete, Tierny, Del Zotto, Hirose, Butcher, Maltsev, Mahura, Myers, Foligno, Simonds, Harkins. I thought these guys had good camps, or were fairly securely in their roles on there perspective teams.

Harkins surprised the shit out of me as a Jets fan. Having said that, we finally have non-incompetent coaching for the first time in near a decade, so if Bones makes no bones (heh) about him not making the cut, I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt. Even if he is a mathematically-challenged dinosaur, at least he seems like one of the apex ones.

I think he maybe felt Harkins would benefit more from playing 18+ minutes a night down, than 10 minutes a night up maybe? Not sure because Harkins plays his heart out every shift, he seems like a really good middle/bottom 6 guy that can move anywhere. I was particularly surprised by Tierny and by Phillipe Myers myself.

I think Myers is a salary cap move. He's pretty pricey so he won't get claimed, but I expect him to play opening night. Tampa trying to maximize cap savings.
