Replace Rule 6.13.1 Broken Stick with a simpler, quicker resolution
Current Rule (to be replaced):
The skater loses his stick and the puck. Treat as an interception but time does not advance. Use the red die to determine the opposing player in possession. This interception may not be converted to a pass.
As play continues, the following modifiers apply to the affected skater:
• The skater loses half of his D and C ratings (round down)
• The skater loses one bar (minimum zero)
• The skater loses the FC rating
• The skater loses any +PASS rating
• The skater loses any Block rating
The Broken Stick condition lasts until the skater's team regains possession. While the condition lasts, the skater may not leave the ice.
Exception: When the skater has played 10 consecutive Tics he may leave the ice, ending the Broken Stick condition (see 3.2.1).
Proposed Replacement:
The skater breaks his stick and loses the puck. Treat as an interception for shot. This interception may not be converted to a pass.
Roll the Red Die to see which opposing skater takes the shot. If the position is empty, reroll. The Range used by the opposing skater depends on the current Game Conditions:
CONDITION RANGE
Advantage 4-12
Disadvantage N Range of Skater
Even Strength P Range of Skater
Resolve the shot and any actions on the Goalie Matrix. Time moves. Play continues.

For relatively rare events, I'm inclined to favor simplicity. Similar to how we don't generate a full list of penalty shot ranges for something that happens so rarely.

The manager group has elected to accept the change to the broken stick rule.
