GAME 1, CHELSEA @ COLE HARBOUR
Starting Goalies: Lehner Vs Reimer
The series opened at the home of the Butchers and saw the Daggers strike first when Logan Couture potted the first goal of the series six minutes into the first period. The visitors got second period goals from Ovechkin and Couture's second of the game to stretch the lead to 3-0 in front of a shocked crowd. Max Pacioretty was able to give the home town fans something to cheer for, but it was all for not as Nikolaj Ehlers iced the game just past the mid way point of the third and the Daggers took down game 1, final score 4-1.
Final shot totals: Chelsea 33, 7 IR; Cole Harbour 34, 9 IR
First star: Robin Lehner, 1 GA on 34 shots
Second star: Logan Couture, 2 G

GAME 2, CHELSEA @ COLE HARBOUR
Starting Goalies: Lehner vs Khudobin
The home side came out strong firing 17 shots at Lehner and solving him once when Ryan O'Reilly potted his first of the series. The domination (at least in terms of shots) continued through the second period as the home side held a 27-15 edge in shots on goal, however, Robin Lehner continued to stand tall keeping his team in the game as the score remained 1-0. This score held up until late in the third period; with the teams skating 4 a side the Daggers pulled their goalie to press for a tying goal, one Ovechkin was happy to provide with less than 4 minutes to play. Unfortunately for the visitors, Ehlers took a 2 minute minor before the shift was up giving the Butchers a chance to steal a victory. Brandon Saad converted the game winning power play goal with less than 30 seconds to go and the goalie pulled for a 6v4 advantage. Final score, 2-1.

Connor McDavid got his first of the series early in the second before the home side decided to take over drawing 3 straight penalties, potting two goals on delayed calls when Ovie and Mark Giordano got on the board. Logan Couture put the home side up late in the frame and Ehlers scored early in the third to extend the lead to 5-3. The Butchers replied with three goals in 3.5 minutes (Jeff Carter with 2 and McDavid again) to take the lead back. The visitors held on from there to secure a 6-5 victory.
