Another evenly played first period, where Murray let in two goals, and Fleury none, leading the Mammoths to relax and think the game was in the bag. A very fast paced period, where the two teams combined for 31 shots. From the second period on, the Mammoths decided to not play, allowing the Butchers to claw back into the game, and by the end of the 2nd period, it was a tie game at 2 apiece. A season low 6 shots taken by Revelstoke in the period, vs 20 by Cole Harbour. The third period saw neither team manage to hit the net whatsoever out of the 24 total combined shots.
Overtime saw the last game's hero become the goat, Vatanen taking a minor penalty for mooning the crowd. Oddly enough, the Mammoths managed more shots than the Butchers, but Nick Bonino was the only one able to take a shot remotely at the net in over 20 minutes, and winning the game for home team. Connor McDavid finally managed to get a shot or two in this game, but not much more than that. Good crossovers though.
Revelstoke is now surprisingly over .500, at 5-4-1.
