I have Carolina over Dallas in my bracket. Guentel brings the cup to Pittsburgh for his day and rubs it in a little.
Teams I am cheering for? None really, thought seeing a Canadian team .are a push would be nice.

Most people still have Dallas or Florida in play. You mean that you're the only one that has a team from each bracket in play still. *slow clap*...well done. ;-)

That is why I said picks. You "sound" jealous Daniel, especially considering how quickly you responded. Well done.

So now that the Panthers have won, what do you guys think of a team in a low tax state who gets revenue sharing winning the Cup? I presume that is probably true for Vegas and Tampa as well.
Canadian teams are high tax, net contributors to revenue sharing and haven't won in 30 years.

I am not sure how the revenue sharing thing works, but I do know that there is less money involved than you might think. I have heard that Arizona's share was on the order of 5 million bucks, which seems like peanuts when running an NHL team.

They may already have other advantages like weather, travel and taxes that aren't accounted for in the revenue sharing.

That is valid for sure. It is definitely tougher to recruit players to places like Edmonton and Winnipeg. Taxes are one thing, but the living environment is also a factor you would think.
