How does everyone feel about their guys going through the trade deadline?
Personally, I had Byram go from playing behind Towes and Makar to playing behind Dhalin and Power, so probably a wash. Roslovic to the Rangers is probably about even, he will be playing in the bottom 6 either way, but, since the rangers are a better team, hopefully that will help out his ratings. Edmundson to Toronto won't really move the needle, he is replacement level at best and will only fill in for other guys when they are injured.
How'd you all fare?

The guys from my team were pretty quiet. I only had Kuznetsov move to Carolina. I dont suspect that will change anything for my team, he's still going to suck and I wager he's in the KHL next year. Meanwhile Blake Coleman will be a 30 goal scorer......everyone who thinks I always "win" my trades....keep this one in mind.
Lot's of guys moved that I thought would move, not necessarily to the teams I thought they'd go, but they moved. Vegas made out like fucking bandits.....again. Wonder when the NHL will do something about the "creative" LTIR happenings.
Byram moving to BUF is a good thing for you though, IMO. He may play behind Dahlin, but I dont think he's behind Power. He'll get plenty more PP time than Power for sure. I think those top 4 that they have now will all be interchangeable. Imagine if they play Byram and Dahlin together....scary. Dahlin + Byram and Power + Samuelsson as a top 4?.....I wonder if I could manage that......

I watched the Sabres/Oilers game today. First half anyways. It was funny, but Dahlin and Byram especially seemed to be playing both right and left side. They'd transition to the strong side when they had the puck and we skating up ice and stay on whichever side they were on when they were in the offensive zone. I even saw Jokiharju do this even though he's a right shot. Interesting.
I didn't have much movement on my team. Maroon to Boston for another Cup.

None of my guys moved, so I’m stuck with the situations they’re in.
This is a good time to remind everyone that ratings are based on a weighted average of a players performance for all of the teams on which he played. So 60 games in Detroit and 20 games in Boston means his performance in Detroit counts for 75% of his rating.
This post is boring. I’m bored.

Had a couple of people move. Was looking good for Lindholm for the first couple of games. Now he seems lost. Stecher went from a 5/6 in Arizona to trying to find the ice in Edmonton. Hoping (expecting) that once he gets in the lineup he'll play his way back up.

Hoping (expecting) that once he gets in the lineup he'll play his way back up. At 70" tall I think Stecher was destined to end up as D7 - insurance for a playoff run. The next smallest Oiler d-man is the 6th defenseman, Kulak. He's 73". Desharnais is young and could end up being replaced by Stecher if he becomes a little excited or fatigued as the season comes to an end. Certainly Stecher's 7 years experience will help in the playoffs. Lindholm is not lighting thins up as C3 in Vancouver, but his fundamentals are sound. It's possible he's been asked to focus on defense. Or that he has a lot of defensive work to do given his line-mates. I think his ratings will be OK, but, of course, he won't have C1 numbers again while playing C3.

Certainly looks like Byram is thriving in Buffalo. Maybe I end up having over paid for Fox. Opportunity.

This is how all good pirates tell their stories. It's all about deflection and obfuscation of facts. ;-)
