Propose that the Penalty Killing Ace uses the Even Strength range when shooting on an empty net as an added benefit for only that rated player.

Propose that the Penalty Killing Ace uses the Even Strength range when shooting on an empty net as an added benefit for only that rated player. It is currently the case that any skater with Disadvantage uses a 2-12 range when shooting against an empty net. (8.3 Empty Net Shots) Not sure if this would change the rule proposal above.

Yeah, my proposal is that any player with the PK Ace rating use 3-12, the ES range, as their target when shooting on an EN when short handed instead of the 2-12 that every other player uses.

Oh I see, as an added advantage to having the PK ace star you'd shoot on a 3-12 instead of a 2-12 that the normal pleebs shoot on. Interesting.

Yes, but you don't like ANY rules so there's that.

not sure i get the point of this rule either. why would someone who is good at penalty killing be better at shooting for an open net?

not sure i get the point of this rule either. why would someone who is good at penalty killing be better at shooting for an open net? Practice! Practice! Practice! How many people get SH ranges for their (sh-en) goals at the end of a game? Why should they be the only ones able to skate the puck during a PK situation? Why don't players who average more than 1:00 per game of PK time get like 6 points of skating (6 out of 216)?
Trying to add a little more juice to the PKA rating given how BIG an effect the PPA has on that team.
I'm just throwing these out there early so as people play the games they can think about them and how they might effect game play and balance.

My final thought on this is that since scoring is not used when rating players as PK Ace, it should not be added afterward.

Looking at the rule again, this is a game mechanics question. Not something we should be voting on.
